Lavender water is commonly used to scent linens or clothing. A little spray before ironing will also liven your clothes with this wonderful scent. If you have trouble sleeping, lovely lavender may be able to help. Simply spray a little lavender water on your pillow to help you relax and drift off to a restorative sleep, as the smell of lavender can promote a relaxing effect on the mind and body.
To make your own lavender water, bring 100ml water to the boil. Then pour the water over two tablespoons of freshly cut (or dried) lavender flowers in a non metallic bowl. Cover the bowl and leave overnight, allowing the water to cool and infuse at room temperature.
Strain the mixture using a really fine sieve or piece of muslin and place in a glass bottle.
